What a great day!!

Well, today started out just like any other day for me except that I fell asleep early, and then woke up at 4a.m. At 7 a.m., I sent out a few emails to me friends to catch up and just to say hello, I am thinking about you. So then I went to the supermarket, came home and then did some light laundry. At 10:44a.m. I received a phone call from Katie, she is the local (Chatsworth) public relations person at Time Warner Cable. My first thought was that she calling about my bill since I haven't paid it yet, but then I thought, it is only due in a few days from now, and I am up to date. But, she went on to tell me that she had good news for me. She asked me if I remembered entering Time Warner's Breaking Bad Sweepstakes. I told he yes, I seemed to recall entering it. But then again, I enter many sweepstakes, just a hobby of mine I have been doing for the last several years. She told me that I was one of their grand prize sweepstakes winners and that I had won a new, HD color Television. I asked her if it was a 30 inch one, because I remember a sweepstakes like that. She did not have that information in front of her, but told me to be expecting a phone call from a local retailer who will be delivering the item to my apartment. She also mentioned that they will be probably be taking some pictures for promotional purposes. I don't mind that at all. So, I am the new owner of a new HD tv thanks to just a few minutes of my time, and just entering the sweepstakes. My point in this blog is that you should try it if you don't already enter sweepstakes. Don't think, well I never win, because people do win, and most of them are legit. So Katie made my day! I can only wait to see what tomorrow has in store for me. Thanks Time Warner Cable!

A new week

Well, here it is again, Monday, the start of a new week. I have nothing special planned this week. Nothing really important in the news. Why is it that the news is usually always negative? I mean do we really want to hear about all the bad things happening in the world? Murder, earthquakes, deaths, the price of gasoline and food going up? People out of work? They say nothing ever stays the same. I believe it. It would be nice once in a while if the news media would concentrate on the good things in life and how people help other people in this world of ours. But then again, that is not what sells. They look for the shock value when reporting the news. But it is so depressing at times. But I tune in anyway and listen to see what is going on in this world of ours. I just want to hear more about the positive things in life and not gloom and doom. Sorry if this post is depressing. I didn't mean it to be. I choose to concentrate on the good things in life and how we can all help one another. Be kind to your friends and neighbors. Catch you later.
